Thích Nhất Hạnh
Often called the "father of mindfulness," Thich Nhat Hanh is one of the most important dharma teachers of our lifetime. A Zen monk originally from Vietnam, Thich Nhat Hanh spent many years in exile after years of political and social activism in his own country.
His teachings are rooted in a deep understanding of both Theravada and Mahayana traditions, as well as the Yogacara teachings. In addition to sitting meditation, Thich Nhat Hanh has countless teachings on finding the peace in everyday activities, living with mindfulness, and connecting with every moment of our experience on this planet.

Resources
Plum Village - Thich Nhat Hanh's home on the web. You'll find more about him, the lineage, plenty of teachings, retreats, and links to sitting groups.
Living Gems - The home of talks from Thay and other teachers. Has a cool function where you can just type something in and find plenty of results!
A Cloud Never Dies - The biographical documentary of Thich Nhat Hanh. Great resource to learn more about him and his practice.
Books - I'm just not going to list all of his books here. I recommend starting with The Miracle of Mindfulness or Peace is Every Step. I also really enjoyed his books on both Anger and Fear.
