Meditation for Parents of Addicts
Do you have an addict in your life? Whether it is a child, sibling, or friend, this group may be for you! Through mindfulness and compassion meditation, we will investigate how to respond to and interact with the addict in our lives. This group is aimed toward those with little to no meditation experience. We will have a monthly group with a guided meditation, a short talk, a short interactive practice, and time for discussion and open questions. Meditations and talks will be recorded for those that cannot attend. The monthly group is offered on a donation basis! Please don’t ever let finances prevent you from joining us! We also have a Facebook group online for those interested in the practices and interacting with others.
We meet the first Sunday of every month at 10:00am in Santa Monica. You can see all the information and RSVP at www.Meetup.com/ParentsOfAddicts, and visit our Facebook group at www.Facebook.com/groups/MeditationParents.

About the Host
I am a meditation teacher who teaches recovering addicts across Los Angeles about meditation and how it may help with recovery. As I got sober at a young age, I am able to relate to young people well. I am in a 3 year teacher training course at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and work with ParentTeam, a wonderful organization with which I help families find the treatment and help they are looking for in order to help their children and loved ones.
You’re always welcome to email me at [email protected], or call or text me at (310) 922-4649.
