This is a guided meditation on mindfulness of thoughts and the mind. We will practice observing the thinking mind as thoughts arise and pass.

This guided meditation begins with a few minutes of breath practice in order to cultivate a concentrated and collected mind. We then move into a mindfulness of the mind practice in which we observe thoughts and mental states. At the end, there are a few minutes of loving-kindness for the mind to wrap up.

Remember that you don’t need to block any thoughts out, only think positive thoughts, or judge the mind in any way. The practice of mindfulness here is to observe the thinking mind with a gentle awareness. No thought is wrong or right. Simply tune in with presence to what is coming up in your experience.
