Learning to Love Yourself
Six-Week Online Class Series Starting August 1st, 2018
Join us as we investigate building compassion, patience, forgiveness, and more toward ourselves. Through meditation practices, self-reflection exercises, and daily practices, we will cultivate a more loving and kind relationship with ourselves.
How the Series Works
The class will be offered online via a group meeting room. You will be able to access the class from a computer, tablet, or phone. We will meet at 6:00pm Pacific Time, and recordings will be available of each session if you cannot make a class!
In each class, we will have a guided meditation, a teaching, and time for discussion and engaged practice. Every week, you will be given some “homework,” or practices to investigate the topic of the week in your daily life. During the week, the teacher will be available to meet with you via video chat for individual sessions at no extra cost.
What You Will Learn
Together, we will dive into heart practices through meditation. Each week will bring a new topic we will investigate with exercises, a talk, and discussion. During the week, you will have practices to utilize to encourage further self-reflection.
Week One – Metta, or loving-kindness, for ourselves
Week Two – Self-compassion, or caring for ourselves in moments of pain
Week Three – Gratitude and appreciative joy
Week Four – Self-forgiveness
Week Five – Equanimity, or remaining balanced in charged moments
Week Six – Mindful awareness
Costs and Registration
Because this is a live class, we will be keeping the group relatively small. As such, we ask that you register as soon as possible to secure your spot. When we fill up, you will see a large waitlist notification on the registration page.
The class series is offered on a sliding scale. Please pay what you are able in order to support One Mind Dharma, the teacher, and those who wish to attend but do not have financial means. If you wish to join us but are not able to make a financial contribution, please email [email protected]
