The body scan is a meditation of concentrated attention to cultivate awareness of sensations in the body and helps to focus the mind. The practice involves the guidance through different parts of the body while noticing sensations in the present moment. Awareness of breath, thoughts, emotions and sensations will arise while continually coming back to awareness of specific parts of the body.
